We had the opportunity to be with Julie and Tylor on their wedding day, and we want to share their story with you. Julie got ready at her parents’ house, while Tylor prepared at a hotel. They had a large bridal party, and her parents’ house was bustling with activity. I love big bridal parties—when everyone gets ready together, it’s always so much fun. We always capture plenty of interesting moments. Julie had a first look with her father in the backyard, and it was truly emotional. Julie is quiet and always smiling. They are a perfect match, an ideal couple. It’s as if they were made for each other.Tylor got ready with the guys at Eaglewood Resort & Spa. It’s an excellent location with plenty of natural light and large glass windows in the lobby, which we used to create portraits of the groom and the groomsmen.
A Church Wedding With a First Look
St Paul of the Cross Church is located very close to where Julie was getting ready. We arrived a bit earlier since we were covering both photo and video for this wedding. We needed a few drone shots, as we always use the drone for video highlights. The church is truly beautiful and perfect for photography. You can see it in the photos, and after the ceremony, the newlyweds had a grand exit.
Medinah Country Club Wedding
The Medinah Country Club is an architectural marvel, a haven of tranquility surrounded by manicured lawns and towering trees. As photographers, we were captivated by the grandeur of the setting, which provided an exquisite canvas for the celebration of love. Every corner seemed to whisper tales of weddings past, adding a layer of history to the couple’s journey as they began their own chapter at this storied location. Before the start of the cocktail hour, we had an hour for couple and bridal party photography. Shooting on the golf course isn’t always easy because you have to be mindful of where you walk and photograph, as there are often golfers on the course. It’s not entirely safe due to the possibility of someone being hit by a golf ball.
In the club’s lobby, we captured some incredible photographs. We were truly breathless at how stunning this building is. We had a little time to photograph just the two of them, and Julie looked amazing, especially with her veil constantly carried by the wind. Once again, we used the drone—this time for photography, which added a unique charm to these images. We absolutely love drone photography!
The cocktail party and reception took place at the Medinah Country Club. With its rich history and timeless charm, the venue provided the perfect setting for a wedding celebration. It also offered numerous photo opportunities for the wedding party and couple’s portraits, which saved us a lot of time. Through our lens, we aimed to capture not just moments but the essence of a love story that will resonate for generations. Julie and Tylor’s wedding was, indeed, a timeless affair. We photograph many weddings at country clubs, and I can confidently say that these types of weddings are among the most popular in Illinois.
As a sign of gratitude, we received a lovely review from Julie, and we want to share them with you in this post.
“Ws was amazing! They were very professional and made our day very memorable in photos and video. Everyone who has seen the photos loves the artistic thought that was put into documenting our day. Definitely recommend“
